On May 14th, Brian Arthur, a famous economist and a pioneer in positive feedback system of the economy had a close communication with students in Tsinghua University's School of Economics and Management and Tsinghua University and shared his three core ideas in his new bookThe Nature of Technology: first, technologies are put together from pieces - themselves technologies - that already exist. For example, the C language achieved one function by mobilizing multiple functions; second, technology creates itself from itself , a tough world to understand, taking the invention of train for example, it consists of many technologies like the steam technology which could be divided into the fuel technology, the hybrid technology and etc; third, technology could evolve like organisms, while technology evolves from combination of different technologies and organisms evolve from heteromorphosis.
