2016年6月25日至26日，清华大学技术创新研究中心主办的首届创新研究国际会议（The First International Conference on Innovation Studies，简称ICIS2016）在清华经管学院国际报告厅举行。清华大学经济管理学院教授、技术创新研究中心主任陈劲担任本次会议的主席。美国、俄罗斯、英国、法国、澳大利亚、日本、西班牙、芬兰、新加坡、印度等国家，以及中国大陆及港澳台地区的200多位学者参加了本次会议。

来自杜克大学的Arie Y. Lewin教授、Innovation Resource公司总裁Robert B. Tucker先生、剑桥大学的Richard-Lihua教授、香港大学的谢贵枝教授、清华大学的陈劲教授、新竹清华大学的张元杰教授、法国SKEMA商学院的Hiroshi Tanaka教授等分别作题为 “Directed co-evolution of serendipity: Lessons from Haier Journey to Become an Open Innovation Organization”“ Best Practices of the World’s Most Innovative Companies” “Prospective on Innovation Studies” “Embracing Contradiction and China’s Embracing Innovation”“Performance Sustainability and Extreme Firm Behaviors in Host Markets: Effects of Firm Innovativeness and Corporate Social Responsibility”“The innovative network of universities in Taiwan: The co-owned patents view & The structural relationship between firm innovations and performance: A moderated mediation analysis”“Service Science Empowered Innovation Program Management -marrying service science with program management for service innovation”的大会主题报告。另有20多位专家学者在会议上发言。

创新研究国际会议旨在为国内外学者提供更加广阔的学术交流平台，促进最新的创新研究思想的交流和传播。今年为首届，由清华大学发起，拟每年举行一次，以吸引更多的国内外资深学者、研究人员参加。
